Accessibility at Cromwell Hall Christian Fellowship
At Cromwell Hall Christian Fellowship, we want you to feel comfortable, welcome, and able to take part in the life of our church. We recognise that everyone’s needs are different, and we want to make visiting us as straightforward and reassuring as possible.
Whether you have physical, sensory, neurodivergent, or cognitive needs, you are very welcome among us. We understand that visiting somewhere new can sometimes feel daunting, particularly when you are unsure what to expect. We hope the information below will help you plan your visit with greater confidence and peace of mind.
Getting Here and Parking
Parking
Our car park is very close to the building. From the far end of the car park to the rear entrance on the driveway side of the building is less than 25 metres, making parking and drop-offs as convenient as possible. Vehicles can stop close to the step-free entrance temporarily to drop off or collect someone, although please move on as soon as possible to enable others to arrive or leave.
Public Transport
If you are travelling by train, please be aware that Levenshulme railway station currently has 46 steps between street level and the platforms. All local bus stops are fully accessible.
Entering and Moving Around
Entrances
A step-free entrance leads directly from the car park and driveway into the main hall, with only a very slight slope. Our main front entrance has two steps, as well as a third step up from the pavement, so the car park entrance along the driveway is the easiest route if you require step-free access.
Inside the Building
Once you are inside, all our facilities are on one level, making it easy to move around the building without needing to use stairs.
During the Service
Seating
Please sit wherever you feel most comfortable. We do not have reserved seating, so you are free to choose the place that works best for you. We can move seats if needed and can accommodate mobility aids quite easily.
Hearing Support
An induction hearing loop is fitted throughout the main hall to help you hear the service clearly. If you use a hearing aid, simply switch it to the ‘T’ setting.
Visual Support
We want everyone to be able to read and follow the service comfortably. Large-print copies of our Bibles and hymn books are readily available.
Facilities
Toilet
An adapted, standard unisex wheelchair-accessible toilet is available off the main hall. It is equipped with horizontal and vertical grab rails, a raised toilet pan, and a lower washbasin with lever taps for ease of use and comfort.
Families
Baby-changing facilities are available for families with babies and young children.
Assistance Animals
Guide dogs, hearing dogs, and other assistance animals are warmly welcomed.
We hope this information helps you feel more prepared for your visit. If there is anything else that would help you feel comfortable when visiting Cromwell Hall Christian Fellowship, please feel free to ask. We will always do our best to help.
